Rigor & Reproducibility in Animal Studies 2026

Second Annual Conference
Rigor and Reproducibility in Animal Studies
February 24-25, 2026

The goal of this periodic conference series is to promote the important concepts of translational value, rigor and reproducibility in animal research. This conference will fulfill an important current gap in the education of scientists and students about the “welfare of the animal experiment” in contrast to the already strong emphasis on the care and welfare of research animals.

This two-day conference will engage graduate students, scientists, postdoctoral fellows and research staff in topics such as choosing models, experimental design, minimizing bias, understanding the role of intrinsic and extrinsic factors on animal experiments and a host of other important topics that contribute to rigor and reproducibility in in vivo studies.
