Three I’s Conference 2022

The Three I’s planning team is committed to providing a high-quality professional development experience for all attendees. The 2022 Three I’s (IACUC, IBC, & IRB): Research Integrity & Biosecurity™ conference will be held Monday, April 25, through Wednesday, April 27, 2022, in a hybrid format – online with the WHOVA app and in-person at The Carolina Inn in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

There are dozens of webinars, online workshops, symposiums and conferences out there, but the Massachusetts Society for Medical Research’s The Three I’s (IACUC, IBC & IRB): Research Integrity & Biosecurity™ — Promoting the Responsible Conduct of Research, Partnership, Ethics, Best Practices and the Exploration of Current Trends conference is the first and only event designed to address the needs and concerns of security professionals, IACUCs, IBCs and IRBs.

Conference attendees will benefit from the combined skills and knowledge represented through MSMR, the North Carolina Association for Biomedical Research, the FBI Weapons of Mass Destruction Directorate, the Maine Regulatory Training and Ethics Center and recognized industry experts and compliance professionals, which will allow participants to increase their understanding of vital issues facing the life science community.

MSMR and its conference partners are committed to delivering an outstanding educational and training opportunity, as well as providing an interactive, interdisciplinary learning and networking platform that has been its signature approach for 21 years.

Call for Abstracts

The Three I’s Planning Committee is looking for informed subject matter experts to speak at the 2022 The Three I’s (IACUC, IBC, & IRB): Research Integrity & Biosecurity™.

We would like presenters who will contribute new insights and/or practices. Speaking at the The Three I’s (IACUC, IBC, & IRB): Research Integrity & Biosecurity™ conference will give you the opportunity to share your knowledge, expertise and learning experiences with peers and colleagues from around the country.

Support for and collaboration among all compliance committees are interconnected and these committees often are dealing with many of the same investigators. When we collaborate and work together, it can reduce redundancies, making it easier for the investigators to stay in compliance. Compliance procedures at work ensure that you can continue to conduct your research – safely, responsibly, ethically and securely – while helping to identify and communicate compliance and security concerns.

We are looking for speakers/presenters who promote exploration, collaboration and innovation in shared responsibilities with all three I’s, as well as within procedures governing Conflict of Interest; Research Misconduct; Export/Import Control; Law & Compliance; and Ethics.

For 2022: The Research Administration track was added to the 2021 conference as a new addition to the conference curriculum. It is specifically designed for personnel in positions such as pre-award coordinators, departmental administrators, post-award coordinators, compliance coordinators, grant accountants, and others who would like to enhance their understanding of the comprehensive field of research administration.

Abstracts for all oversight committees are welcome.
